Curling up next to a fire, preferably outside, sharing a warm cup of hot chocolate and roasting marshmallows sounds pretty nice right about now. I was able to do the latter over Thanksgiving with Claire and Caleb accompanied by the children of course. Normally, when roasting marshmallows, it's rather difficult to get a perfectly roasted marshmallow, but Caleb found a new method. He sat the graham cracker, with chocolate and marshmallow on top, on a brick facing the fire and turned it every few minutes to get a golden brown nicely roasted marshmallow. Needless to say we devoured the entire bag of marshmallows and Sam surprised me with his gooey hands in my hair. I'm sure there are still remnants of marshmallow and leaves in my hair. Well, probably (and hopefully!) not.
Man, that felt like a huge run-on sentence.
I'm so sorry.
