Spoiled ambitions turned my heart to black.

BTBAM played tonight at New Brookland. For those of you who don't know what that acronym means, it's Between the Buried and Me. I haven't been to a hardcore show in so long. Granted I was way exhausted when I arrived, but surprisingly it went well. I kind of miss the scene. Well, slightly, I guess. Just the fun and the excitement. And all that comes with being in that scene. It's too bad it's not as great as it once was. Or maybe it's just because I've gotten older. But I think the only thing is that I can't really get into the new hardcore. It's as if I'm only able to still enjoy what I used to like and nothing else, nothing new. But I had fun tonight despite being so tired.

Also, a band called Telescreen played. Their music wasn't that enjoyable, but the way they performed was pretty neat. After setting up this massive screen covering the stage and then projecting images on said screen, they performed while the images set up a story. Kind of creepy, these images, but neat nonetheless. Sadly, I kind of dozed off a bit during their set. But the idea was impressive.
